Dear Participants of JoSSIS 2023,
Excitement is building as the summer school in Zadar is now merely one day away, set to commence tomorrow, August 28th, 2023 at 11:00. We eagerly await your arrival in Croatia by this date. In this email, we are pleased to provide you with some final essential details.
On Sunday, August 27th, we are delighted to invite you to our first unofficial gathering at “the Garden Lounge” in Zadar (https://goo.gl/maps/s73dS4YupNqXRzb17). Starting from 7 pm (19:00), we look forward to your participation. This event offers a relaxed and informal atmosphere for getting to know each other. Please be informed that the Summer School organizers will not cover consumption expenses. Kindly settle your expenses at the bar independently.
The first official event and warm welcome to the Summer School are scheduled for Monday, August 28th, starting at 11:00 am in the auditorium of the University of Zadar (Ul. Mihovila Pavlinovića 1, 23000, Zadar https://goo.gl/maps/wVfDhD2W3LBq3Vhw8). Registration opens at 10:30.

• Important: In case of significant delays, absences, or planned late arrivals, kindly notify us via email. Unless specifically communicated by your instructor, there is no need to bring a computer on the first day.
A brief note regarding the Monday program: A guided city tour is scheduled for noon, taking place under the Croatian midday sun, followed by an lunch around 1.30 pm (13.30). Please remember to bring sun protection (such as headgear), sunscreen, and drinking water with you, especially in the morning if required.

A gentle reminder: Do remember to bring your own devices/PCs and appropriate adapters. The local currency is Euro (no longer Kuna). Kindly consult your bank for the most efficient and cost-effective methods to exchange or withdraw Euros.
